Remember the great game Stafford was having? Not anymore.
Stafford: 12-290-124-2 TD - 2 INT - 71.7 rating
Matt Hasselbeck is hitting damn near everything.
Hasselbeck: 20-25-165-0 TD - 1 INT - 77.5 rating.
With an 84% completion percentage, Hasselbeck is going to nickel and dime the Lions to death. The low rating is thanks to not having a TD pass.
The doofs on FOX just claimed Stafford is having a great game. Uh...HUH? He had a great 1st quarter, an awful 2nd. That does not equal great in my book.
On Seattle's drive, the Lions almost get another turnover, as a Dizon blitz caused a Hasselbeck fumble...but they couldn't fall on the ball. Damn.
Just got a text from my Knee Jerks partner, Greg Eno.It was 3 words...
Lions WILL lose.
You can't rebut that...Hell, after watching the 2nd quarter, I agree.
After a good 'Hawks punt, Lions will start from the 12.
Just like the 1st half, a Smith run and reception leave 3rd and short. Stafford fakes a toss play...rolls right...and throws it behind an open Fitzsimmons!
Rookie QB's SUCK! I know he's going to be good, and Stafford has shown enough flashes to think he could be great...but the growing pains are going to give me high blood pressure.
Harris punts to Branch...and the Lions miss what seems like 10 tackles before they bring him down at the 'Hawks 22. Christ Almighty, this team tackles worse than the Wolverines!
On 3rd and short, it's Hasselbeck to Hoosemunzatta for the 1st down at the 36. Lions were caught with 12 men on the field, anyway.
SCREEN! Shit, Jones has a flotilla of blockers...this is not gonna end well...he's off to the races! Delmas makes a diving, shoestring tackle at the 15. A 49 yard play, and the 'Hawks are ready to take the lead.
To add insult to injury, Ernie Sims is hurt on the play. Looks like a hammy, I'd bet he's done for thr day.
A Jones run, and the runaway beer truck, Owen Schmitt, makes a short reception, leaving the Seahawks a 3rd and 1.
Lions get the stop, as they actually get pressure on Hasselbeck, forcing an incompletion. So Mare comes on to drill another chip shot FG.
16 straight points for Seattle. The once HUGE Lions lead is down to 1, 17-16.
Eno is going to be right.
Lions need to make a few plays on offense as they start at the 30. Who is going to step up?Is anyone capable of stepping up?
FOX confirms the hammy injury to Sims, he's questionable. We know that, but will he come back?
3rd and 2 for the Lions. Need a play. Maurice Morris, the former Seahawk, finds an opening, Stafford hits him for the 1st down.OK, it's a start...
Stafford drops to throw...BALL! Stafford falls on it, 'Hawks get credit for a sack. He just plain dropped the damn ball.
Stafford is getting flustered. Too much time, FLAG! The rookie is crumbling under the pressure, it's now 2nd and 20fucking2.
This is not going well. Maybe I should just join the rest of the family for dinner.
Aaron Curry, the man many Lions fans wanted to take with the 1st overall pick, is hurt, has trouble getting up off the turf. We go to a TV TO before we find out what the fuck happened. Thanks, FOX.
3rd and 18, hope the Lions have a play for that down ans distance. Of course they do, they're in that sort of down and distance enough...
Stafford looks for Fitzsimmons...incomplete. Hell, it would have been short of the 1st, anyway.
Stafford has stopped looking for his wide outs, throwing almost exclusively to backs and TE's. Uh...WHY? Have the 2 Johnsons been taken away by the Seahawks? Don't know, and FOX isn't telling.
And just like that, the Seahawks are are at their 45. They are trying to force the run...and it's working.
Flag...12 men on the field for Seattle, Seneca Wallace, the backup QB, had wandered onto the field. Seattle had something special planned, but they fucked up the execution.
A pass to Forcett gets the penalty back, and then some, leaving 3rd and 5. Hasselbeck will throw for it...FUCK! Pass interference on James...even though the ball was 15 yards over Hoosmunzattaa's head.
Trick play...Wallace is on the field as a wide out...gets the toss...of course, he's going to throw...complete to Hoosmonshita at the Lions' 17. Why didn't the Lions see this coming? WHY? Seattle wanted to try this a few plays earlier, but screwed the pooch! //facepalm//
Moronic.
Kill me now. Hasselbeck to Carlson...2 yard line.
I'm officially dead inside.
Hasselbeck to Hushmonxatta for the TD. FUCK!
Seattle have now scored 22 consecutive points before we see the PAT...which the Seahawks thankfully butcher.
What-the-fuck-ever, the Seahawks now have the lead, 22-17.
The wonderful 1st quarter seems like a lifetime ago.
Lions start at their 30, down 5. A little more than 2 minutes left in the 3rd.
Dick Stockton: What should the Lions do? Me: They should DIE IN A FIRE.
An end around FOOLS NO ONE, loses 5 yards. Stafford tries to scramble, flips the ball towards Smith...but the flip isn't near catchable.
Stafford rolls right on 3rd down...looks deep downfield...pick.
It's the 3rd motherfucking pick of the day for Stafford. There was some sort of miscommunication, as CJohnson cut inside, Stafford threw outside...straight to a Seahawk.
The Seahawks end the quarter at their 49, after the run ANOTHER Jones screen for good yardage.
Seattle leads 22-17, while I'm about ready to have a conniption fit.
Only 1 more quarter to suffer though, folks.
Yes, I'm a masochist when it comes to the Lions.
