Yes, it's officially official. A done deal. It's guaranteed.
There will be no Thanksgiving Day blackout in SE MI.
As always, Detroit Lions' PR is on the ball with a statement:
The Detroit Lions have reached a sellout for Thursday’s 70th Thanksgiving Day game against the Green Bay Packers. By reaching a sellout by today’s 12:30 p.m. deadline, Thursday’s game will air live in the local television markets (Metro Detroit, Lansing, Saginaw/Flint and Toledo markets), including WJBK-TV FOX 2.
Uh...hooray?
Am I glad I'll be able to see the Lions on a big TV instead of a postage stamp sized web stream?
Without a doubt.
But...
Am I afraid the Lions will, once again, make fools of themselves nationwide by getting their asses destroyed by the Packers, thus subjecting us to a weekend of "Teh Lions R teh suckage" jokes and asinine "We must take the Thanksgiving Day game away from Detroit as they are a national embarrassment" from every media and internet entity?
HELL YES!
If Matthew Stafford is unable to play, I'm expecting a blowout. Actually, even if the wunderkind quarterback does play, I'm expecting a blowout. The Lions played an exciting game Sunday, but it wasn't a well played one, or against much of a team. The Packers are are in midst of a disappointing season, but they are still in the playoff hunt and worlds better than the Browns.
I really hope to see something like this Thursday...

The 1962 Thanksgiving Day massacre
Or even someting as silly as this...

Bettis: Tails! Luckett: Heads is the call. Bettis: I CALLED TAILS!
But ever the cynic when it comes to the Lions, I'm expecting this...
