Immediately after I posted the my Glengarry Glen Ross rant below, ESPN reports Ndamukong Suh has agreed to a massive contract.
Our national local nightmare is over.

No longer hypothetical, this is now an authentic Suh jersey
The Detroit Lions and defensive tackle Ndamukong Suh reached an agreement Tuesday on a five-year contract, according to team sources.
The two sides have agreed on the terms of the deal, but still are signing off on the language of it. The deal will not be signed until the language is completed.
The numbers were projected to come in north of $12 million a year, which means the deal will be worth over $60 million dollars. Suh is guaranteed $40 million.
I originally guessed the deal would end up at $41M guaranteed. Missed it by that much.
Now that it's over, everyone is happy. The fans are happy the Lions' top pick, who has all the tools to be an impact defender, will finally report to camp, ready to work. I'm sure Suh, and his agent, Eugene Parker, are happy, as they both had a big payday. The Lions' front office is happy they won't have to deal with Suh's holdout happy agent for five years.
But the happiest party has to be Jim Schwartz. He can now go about scheming a legit NFL defense, with Suh as the anchor in the middle.
But it's not all unicorns and rainbows.
Expectations Suh will become a star are sky high...because he's already being paid like one.
Suh now has to live up to this immense contract. It's crazy money for an interior defensive lineman, and shows how badly skewed the the rookie pay scale has become. I'm sure Lions fans will immediately and mercilessly remind Suh of this holdout and his undeserved millions if he fails to perform.
Though we'll forgive all if Suh maims a few quarterbacks and running backs on his way to the NFC Defensive Rookie of the Year award.
